The first thing I wanted to keep in mind is that Gastro Engros works on a B2B business model. That means that the logo has to communicate to business, and not individual people. Some logos in this industry can be quite tacky, but there are some well-designed logos, that I wanted Gastro Engros' visual identity to be in proximity to.

I wanted the key values of the company to shine through in its visual identity. I also wanted a font to reflect the creativity of the chefs who are going to use the products they sell. A visual element that is easily recognizable, and that every chef cherishes the knife. The idea was to put the knife inside a square to symbolize reliability, and the knife in itself represents precision. The font Mr Eaves is a sans serif font, where the “R” has some unique features that are related to the creativity of chefs.
The final logo is a simple, yet unique logo. The design elements come together to create a strong visually appealing logo, that is versatile and can be used in every scenario. The logo icon can be used where there is no space for the text.
